Inspired by geography, season and
emotion, my focus for over nine years has been abstract painting.
Using fluid, heavy body, and metallic acrylics, I use a palette
rich in secondary and tertiary colours, including bronzes, coppers
and golds.
To create my abstract art, I work on individual as well as multiple
canvases. With the diptychs and triptychs, each pair or trio
is developed as one large piece. These large surfaces appeal
to me because of the challenge of the expanded abstract dynamic
and the perpetual magic of colour - from saturated pigment to
glazes that rival watercolour lightness.
My paintings are in collections in Calgary, Edmonton, Glen Williams,
Mississauga, Ottawa, Toronto, and White Rock.
Enjoy browsing in this Gallery - a sampling of my current and
recent work in the Bronze, Jazz, Cirque, and Aquas series.
